  • Leaked image from Morbius confirms the existence of Peter Parker in same Universe

Sony Studios’ latest Marvel movie Morbius is set to release in less than 3 days’ time on 1st April and fans are very excited for the origin story of the infamous Spider-Man Anti-hero. Although the early reviews of the movie are not that great and critics have called it as much as Boring, Unnecessary and lacklustre, there was a hidden detail in the movie which is now coming out and it might have huge implications on Sony’s Spider-Man verse going forward.

Many critics have accused the makers of Morbius of adding several bait scenes in their trailers which have not even made the final cut of the movie. The famous scene from the trailer where Michael Morbius walks past a Spider-Man graffiti, for example, is reportedly not even present in the movie and was only added to pull more audience to the theatres. While it is true, Morbius has also given away some major hidden details that only true Marvel fans could notice and if those be true, Morbius might have just teased a big possibility for Sony’s upcoming Spider-verse movies.

Let us now talk about the leaked image that is being referred to here. A leaked image from the movie shows a Daily Bugle news piece. Marvel fans will know that the Daily Bugle is the News Company that Peter Parker used to work for and we have seen references to it in several past Marvel movies and we most recently saw it in a modernised version in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The Daily Bugle news piece from the leaked Morbius image shows has the name ‘Peter Parker’ written over it below a specific photograph in a very small font. Now given the fact that Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man is the only Peter Parker whom we have seen working in the Daily Bugle, this easter egg suggests that Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man is present in the same Universe as the Living Vam

In a part interview, the director of Morbius revealed that some version of Spider-Man is obviously present in the same universe as Morbius and he also said that Morbius is in the same universe as Venom. This points out that Venom, Morbius, Tobey’s Spider-Man (and also Vulture) are present in the same Universe and thus we might possibly see a Sinister 6 lineup in Sony’s next Spider-Man movie featuring Tobey Maguire. However, all these are just theories.

  • Morbius Post-Credit Scene Revealed

Although Sony’s Morbius is yet to be released (on 1st April), a lot of critics have already watched the movie and it is a concerning factor that the early reviews are not great. Critics are calling it a below-average movie that stands nowhere near Venom which was Sony’s first attempt at making a movie on an anti-hero from the Spider-man universe. Meanwhile, someone has leaked details about the Post-credit scene of Morbius and critics are calling it worse than the movie itself.

Post-credit scenes are an important aspect of Marvel movies. It is the extra 15-20 seconds of footage that is shown in every Marvel movie after showing the credits at the end and it gives away details about an upcoming Marvel movie. However, the post-credit scene of Morbius allegedly has no such thing. In fact, if the rumours are to be fully believed, a scene from the trailer has been shown in the post-credit scene and this might be a deal-breaker for many fans.

According to the leak, the scene where Adrian Toomes meets Michael Morbius has been shown in the Post-credit scene. Michael Keaton, who played the role of Adrian Toomes said to Morbius, “Hey Doctor Mike, you and I should stay in touch.” Morbius nodded firmly in nodded in response teasing a possible Sinister 6 lineup in future but the trailer had this scene as well and fans will probably be very angry to see no extra footage in the post-credits scene.

However, this has a big implication for the movie. Adrian Toomes says ‘We should stay in touch’ to Morbius which suggests that they have had a good conversation somewhere in the movie. The second trailer showed Toomes provoking Morbius to use his powers in the jail and that is probably how they met. None of this has been confirmed yet though and we will have to wait for the movie to verify it ourselves.

But the early reviews of Morbius suggest that the movie does not have enough content to hold the audience in the theatres for its runtime of 1 hour and 50 minutes. It will thus probably be another failure in the box-office for a Marvel Sony-verse movie.

  • Latest Morbius leak reveals a disappointing truth about the movie

Sony’s upcoming Marvel movie Morbius is set to release in about a week’s time on 1st April but a majority of critics have already seen the movie and a number of leaks have already gone viral on the Internet. However, if the leaks are to be believed, fans who will go to the theatres expecting a possible connection between Morbius and MCU or any other Spider-Man universe will be in for a big disappointment.

Morbius has been under development for almost three years now and its release had to be postponed on several instances due to COVID-19. The trailer of Morbius gave away a number of easter eggs that suggested that the character was somehow connected to either Raimi’s Spider-verse, Venom-verse or maybe even the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A Daily Bugle newspaper, a graffiti of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man and Adrian Toomes a.k.a Vulture himself – the Morbius trailer had easter eggs from a whole lot of universes. This led fans to raise the question as to which Universe is Morbius actually set in?

This was supposed to be one of the key driving forces that brought audiences to the halls as they were too intrigued to know which universe the movie was set in (Yes, No Way Home raised the expectations too much).

However, if the leaks are to be believed, the makers of Morbius are perhaps themselves confused about Universe in which the character is set in and the Easter eggs were all but trailer baits.

According to some Twitter user @Tom_Smith717, the scene from the trailer where Michael Morbius was walking past a Tobey Maguire Spider-Man graffiti was not even added in the final edit and So was the case with the Daily Bugle newspaper. These were all trailer baits aimed at bringing more and more audiences to the theatres.

Another big scene from the trailer was Adrian Toomes’ appearance. Fans wondered what an MCU character was doing in a Sony Studios movie. However, according to rumours, the actual role of Michael Keaton is not what the trailer is showing and he has just received very small screentime in the post-credit scene. So this was yet another Trailer bait.

Marvel has been infamous for using trailer baits and they have done it before too on many occasions. However, the way in which Morbius’ trailer misguided the fans is one of a kind and no Marvel movie has done this before. If all these leaks be true, the trailer baits might backfire for the creators of Morbius

  • Jared Leto wants Morbius and Spider-Man to team up in Future

Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man universe movie Morbius is set to release in two weeks’ time on 1st April and the stakes are as high as it gets. Sony Studios’ take Morbius has the potential to become one of the strongest Spider-Man villains we have seen to date on the screen and it is thus important that the movie gets the sort of reaction that Sony wants it to so that we could see more of Morbius in Sony’s Marvel-verse in days to come.

Meanwhile, actor Jared Leto, who plays the role of Morbius in his namesake movie has opened up on his ambitions of teaming up with Spider-Man Tom Holland in a Marvel project. In comic books, Morbius has mostly been shown as a villain but often he is also referred to as an anti-villain. Sony is most likely to go down that anti-hero role similar to what they did in the Venom franchise.

Jared Leto on a possible Crossover between Morbius and Spider-Man

Speaking up on that topic on the red carpet for the Critic’s choice award, Jared Leto told Entertainment tonight, “Well, I tell you that I would love to get in the ring with Spider-Man and I think Tom Holland is amazing. We’d make quite a dynamic duo, I guess.”

“I think it’s a different take on the Marvel universe, and it’s a brand new character so I’m super excited to share that with audiences, April 1st. April 1st, coming out. Very excited, in theatres only,” he said.

    – Jared leto

Jared Leto’s words might prove to be right after all because the appearance of Adrian Toomes a.k.a Vulture in the movie has opened up gateways to the Tom Holland’s possible future appearance in the Sony Universe.

Morbius will serve as an origin story for Marvel’s namesake anti-hero. Dr Michael Morbius who is a Nobel prize-winning Biochemist suffers from a rare blood disease that is slowly killing him and millions of others on the planet. In an attempt to find a cure for himself with the help of bats, Morbius mistakenly turns himself into a living bloodthirsty vampire who needs to drink human blood to survive. However, he goes through phases which means that he does not always remain in his vampire form.
