After much anticipation the shooting for the third movie of Marvel’s Ant-Man Franchise – Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (Ant-Man 3)has finally kicked off and we have an early look at Scott Lang a.k.a Ant-Man himself played by Paul Rudd. In this article, we shall be discussing every detail that we know about the Project so far.
The first phase of shooting is being done in Los Angeles and leaked photos from the set show Paul Rudd in a blue jacket seemingly roaming around in his locality. The set has been made to look like San Francisco and we also see Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) in front of a coffee shop. In Ant-Man (2015), we saw that Scott Lang used to work in a Baskin Robbins ice cream parlour and he might have changed his workplace to a Coffee shop this time around. It is a possibility as he was stuck in the Quantum realm for 5 years and his previous job is probably gone now.
Scott seems to be in a good mood which suggests that this might be the jolly opening part of the movie. But then again, this is what Scott is always like – he always has a smile on his face irrespective of everything and thus it is hard to guess. He might have gone through a kickass battle with Kang the conqueror and he will still end up with a smile on his face.
Everything we Know about Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
From what we know about the movie so far, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), Cassandra Lang (Kathryn Newton), Hope Pym a.k.a Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) are set to make a return in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. However, the biggest X-factor of Ant-Man 3 is going to be Jonathan Majors who will play the role of Kang the Conquerer.
We first saw a variant of Kang (‘He who remains’) in the Disney+ MCU series Loki and in the final scene of it, we also saw a statue of Kang the Conquerer. He is expected to make his first proper appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe through Ant-Man 3.
According to Marvel comics, Kang’s kingdom called ‘Chronopolis’ is situated in the Quantum Realm and according to some theories have said that the TVA headquarters is also set in the Quantum realm and that’s why ‘Time works differently at TVA’. As we have already seen Hank Pym, Hope Pym and Scott Lang using the Quantum realm to find Hank’s long lost wife, it might be a source that connects Kang and Ant-Man. However, nothing is confirmed about Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania yet.
