Netflix released the new teaser of The Umbrella Academy season 3 and it revealed the much-anticipated release date of the third instalment of the movie. The video was posted on Youtube, particularly with the name of “The Umbrella Academy Season 3 | Date Announcement”.
The video was about 17 seconds long and it revealed that The Umbrella Academy Season 3 will be released on June 22 only on the OTT platform of Netflix.
The Season 2 Finale left off on a cliffhanger and season 3 will begin from that very point. In the teaser, we can see a confrontation between the students of the Sparrow Academy. Reginald Hargreeve travels to an alternate 2019 timeline wherein The Umbrella Academy does not exist and the Sparrow Academy comprises 5 different kids, a floating green cube and Ben.
Euphoria fame Javon Walton has joined the cast of the Umbrella Academy for Season 3.
Talking about his role in the movie, Javon said “So, it’s all pretty private right now, including my character, but [showrunner] Steve Blackman and [executive producer] Jeff King did an amazing job developing my character… And it’s not part of the Sparrow Academy.”

“Everybody thinks it’s pretty crazy, what my character is. For sure people aren’t going to be able to leak this one. It is too random for people to be able to leak it, but it’s a really lovable character and I can’t wait for you all to see,” he added.
Emmy Raver-Lampman, who is set to play the role of Allison Hargreeves in the movie, also gave away a very important revelation. He said that the third season will see the makers bifurcating from the original graphic novel more often than the previous season. This means we are going to see something completely out of the box in the third season which is both exciting and worrying at the same time.
“I think there will always be a connection there, but the further we get into The Umbrella Academy, the TV show, I think it’s finding its own way,” Lampman said.
